Last school year five students took the opportunity to complete an EU-funded work placement abroad. The feedback is more than positive, and the trainees strongly encourage all students to seize this chance.
Taisia Nizhynska from 5HSE spent two months near Fano (Le Marche, Italy), working at a summer camp looking after school children. Taisia: "I would do it again in a heartbeat. Working with the children was so rewarding, and along the way I picked up a bit of Italian. And the food......... a dream!"
Stefanie Melote and Marlene Pannagl (also 5HSE) were in Malta, working in kindergartens. Both report unique experiences and particularly value the chance to work in an English-speaking environment and to get to know another country along with a different mentality.
Nicole Rohrer and Lutz Lara (4HLB) completed their compulsory placement in a completely different setting: the glacier village of Grindelwald in beautiful Switzerland. Alongside the remarkable pay, what will surely stay with them is 1 August, the Swiss national holiday, which they celebrated together with the locals.
Nicole: "Take the chance and do an Erasmus placement abroad. You gain valuable experience, deepen your language skills and earn pretty well on top of that!"
