We are a residential home for young female students in education, aged 14 to 19. It is not only HLW19 students who feel at home with us - students from many other schools and exchange students find a place to live here too.
The boarding house is closed during all school holidays and on long weekends.
If you are interested, you are welcome to view our house by prior arrangement (by phone or e-mail).
Registration at the federal boarding house follows an interview with the head of the house.

Many students talk about the pleasant atmosphere in the boarding house. Occasions such as our Christmas market, the summer party, trips into the city centre or a walk in the green create lovely memories.
Studying with others is often easier, because the students motivate and help one another. The daily study period is there to help them master their academic challenges and provides the right conditions for learning.
And if a student is ever troubled by something, whether personal or school-related, we are glad to listen, try to open up new perspectives and work out solutions together
Leisure
In good weather, a terrace and a garden invite you to linger.
There are also common rooms with games, televisions and DVD players.
For students who like to cook or bake themselves there is a kitchenette. It is equipped with everything needed - from fridge, hob and oven to microwave and kettle.
The following facilities can also be used: a sports ground, a table tennis room and a laundry room.
House and surroundings
The boarding house sits in the middle of Grinzing, one of the loveliest districts in Vienna. The area is full of cosy taverns and rustic country inns. You can walk through the vineyards here and enjoy a wonderful view over Vienna.
Right nearby there are two supermarkets, a drugstore, a bakery and patisserie, a pharmacy, a bank and a tobacconist. And if you need to do a bigger shop, the nearest shopping centre is not far either.
Thanks to the good transport links with the 38A bus and tram line 38, many schools and the city centre are quick to reach.
